BAFA Autumn Conference 2006, Cardiff

This year's annual BAFA Conference is the most ambitious yet. It is organised in partnership with the Cardiff International Festival of Musical Theatre and takes place at the inspirational Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay.

2006 sees the British Arts Festivals Association Annual Conference in another Landmark Building, after the success of the 2005 Conference held at The Sage, Gateshead. This time around the venue is the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff, keystone of the regeneration of the Cardiff Bay Area.

In keeping with the venue, the theme is ‘A Sense of Place’ and taking the lead from its festival host, The Cardiff International Festival of Musical Theatre, the title of the Conference is: ‘There’s a Place for Us’, leading us on from the 2005 theme of: ‘Festivals and Regeneration’.

The conference will feature leading speakers from within the arts industry, along with detailed practical sessions. At the same time there will be the chance to see what has been done in The Bay Area at first hand, plus the prospect of hearing live performance at every opportunity, much from within the Welsh Tradition.

Last but not at all least, there will be plenty of occasions for valuable networking – There are three days of events and sessions with only a limited number of places, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
