Bolton Mela
The 2007 Bolton Mela is at Bolton Arena on 19th August. Start 12.00pm finish 8.00pm
Bolton Mela has been held for the past 10 years. All types of music and dance are featured on two stages. Community groups are as welcome as international stars and together with the many stalls selling clothing, music and food create a fantastic atmosphere for all the family to enjoy. Bolton Mela was a feature on "Go North West" a prime time television programme encouraging people from the North West to visit different places in their area and this helped to bring in many people from different areas, some of whom were attending a Mela for the first time. The Bolton Mela Group is drawn from the local communities in Bolton and works in partnership with Bolton Council to ensure that the Mela is an attractive and safe event.
